TIRAMISU / PICK ME Up italian receipe... for those of you who are NOT italian ;)

Hello everyone!!

In this rainy lazy day, i thought to lift up my humor with a sweet italian typical  dessert: Tiramisu

Simple to bake and great to eat!

You only need:

  • 3  Fresh eggs room temperature
  • 400 g Ladyfingers biscuit (known as Savoiardi) - 14 oz
  • 250 g Mascarpone cheese -  8.9 oz
  • 125 g Fresh double cream - 4.40 oz
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 5 espresso sized cups of coffee - 15 oz
  • Unsweetened cocoa qs.

I make it this way;

Make coffee and let chill in a bowl. Separate egg yolks and whites; put sugar in yolks and beat until creamy.

In another bowl, beat whites with a pinch of salt (that's a secret to make them fluffy!) and in another one beat the fresh double cream until it whipped!
Now mix yolks with mascarpone cheese and add the whipped cream, then slowly add whites and mix from down to up to not deflate eggs.
Pick ladyfingers and quickly dip them for 1 second in the coffee for each side and put the biscuit in a a pan (or as i done, in a small single dose cup) and go on until you covered the pan.
Then spoon a layer of the creamy mix across biscuits, and if you want you can do another layer with biscuits and then creamy again.
When you have done, sift cocoa on top and refrigerate for about 2 hours before serve it.

I hope i sweetened your day!!

Stay tuned  :)

xoxo G.
